Pricing & fees
No subscriptions, no listing fees. You only pay when a meeting is accepted — and everyone can see the cost before anyone commits.
What guests pay
A host's hourly rate and the agreed duration set the total. You see the full price before you send a request, and nothing is charged until the host accepts. If they decline, you are never charged. Payment is by card, through Stripe.
The Boody service fee
Boody keeps a service fee of 15% of the meeting price. It is already included in the total you see — there is no separate charge at the end. The fee pays for verification, payments, refunds and the safety review. Hosts never pay to list or to appear in Discover.
What the host receives
The host earns the meeting price minus the 15% service fee. Payouts go to the host's connected Stripe account. Hosts are responsible for their own taxes.
Cancellations and refunds
Once a host has accepted and payment is made, these windows apply:
| When | Refund |
|---|---|
| More than 48 hours before | Full refund |
| 24–48 hours before | 50% refund |
| Less than 24 hours, or no-show | No refund |
| Host cancels (any time) | Full refund, including the service fee |
If you felt unsafe or the other person broke the platform rules, report it — those cases are reviewed by a person and refunded outside these windows. See Help for refund questions, or the terms of service for the full agreement.
Keeping payments on Boody
Paying the host directly — in cash, by transfer or any other way — is not allowed. Keeping payments on the platform is what funds refunds, the safety review and the verification process. Breaking this rule can end your account without refund of any service fee.
